About Mark Peterson

 
Mark is an autistic thought leader, researcher, and advocate with 25 years of high-level, global experience across sectors and professions. Professionally focused on DEI – he specializes in autism, ADHD, and the broader neurodivergent community. Combining PhD-level research focus on autism and adult development, with the benefit of lived experience, Mark is an advocate for autism acceptance everywhere.

Mark earned a PhD in Human Development from Fielding Graduate University. He also holds two Master's Degrees from Vanderbilt University, in Adult Learning and Global Ethics. He has a Graduate Certificate in Leadership Coaching from Georgetown University and is a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) with the International Coaching Federation.

Although Mark’s business is based in Washington DC, he lives in the Pacific Northwest with his wife Laura, and their two children, Toby and Nora. When he is not trying to master gluten-free cooking or creating the perfect game of hide and seek with his highly imaginative kids, Mark enjoys running, hiking, traveling and learning to like the rainy weather.
